Scott Unfried learned to love the breads of Europe while traveling
throughout western Europe with his Parisian relatives. This interest
developed further while living in Sonoma, California, home to some of
this countries greatest bakers. While there he studied at the
California Culinary Academy
of San Francisco in the bread program developed by
Dr. Peter Rheinhart, internationally known baker and author. Scott
also has apprenticed at some of Northern California's best bakeries,
including Cafe Beujolais in Mendocino, and Wild Flour Bakery in Freestone.
Scott even apprenticed with the legendary
Alan Scott, the designer of
our oven.
